When it comes to big names in entertainment, they don’t come much bigger than Sky. The ubiquitous home TV and media company serves 12.7 million people across the UK and Ireland, as well as operating some of the most high profile online betting brands in the country.

Sky Vegas is their primary online casino offering for slots and instant win games, complementing the more table games-orientated Sky Casino, and their sports betting site Sky Bet. With strong name recognition in the UK amongst Sky customers and beyond, and now a growing reputation for providing top notch gambling and betting sites, Sky Vegas is an increasingly popular choice for new players.

Welcome Bonus and Special Offers

200% WELCOME BONUS – Up to £1,000 Welcome Package

Sky Vegas offer a generous welcome bonus in two parts. There’s a no deposit bonus, in addition to a deposit bonus, worth up to a total of £50 in bonus credit. Just for signing up for an account, they’ll give you £10 in bonus credit, with no deposit required. From there, if you choose to deposit £10, you get a bonus of a further £40 – effectively setting you up with a total of £50, including your deposit. It’s also possible to roll the two bonuses together, so you end up with £60 to play with, from your initial £10 deposit.

Terms and conditions apply to the bonus offer, but they don’t seem too onerous. A 20x wagering requirement is in place for the initial £10 bonus, so you’ll need to wager £200 before you’ll be eligible to withdraw from this bonus, assuming you’re playing slots, which contribute 100% to the requirement. Card games and table games contribute 10% towards the wagering requirement.

The deposit element of the bonus is a little trickier, stepping up to a 40x wagering requirement for a bonus up to the maximum of £40, and you need to stake a minimum of £10 in order to meet the requirement.

The bonus is valid for a period of 30 days in both cases, and other terms and conditions apply to each respective bonus. Your best bet is to consult the terms and conditions further, so you have a better understanding of the restrictions.

As bonuses go, the no deposit + deposit double bonus structure is fairly generous, and means you can onboard in stages to make the most of each bonus as it’s triggered. However, the 40x wagering requirement on the deposit bonus feels a little steep, and the 20x wagering is a lot more competitive.

Overall, this balances out as a fair bonus, but it’s worth reading the terms and conditions again before requesting a withdrawal.

Sky Vegas runs promotions throughout the year, which run for a specified period of time. Clicking on the ‘Promotions’ tab shows you the full selection, including a helpful timer counting down the days until the promotion expires. As well as ongoing promotions, like Sky Vegas Bonus Time, there are also extra bonuses and themed promotions, such as a chance to win up to £150,000 with The Voice.

With Sky Vegas Bonus Time, players are given the chance to win cash prizes and ‘free’ spins during set hours of play, on any eligible games. You’ll also find promotional scratch cards and other goodies, completing a very competitive package of promotions. Full terms and conditions are available on the relevant promotion page.

Software and games

Software and Games

Arguably the best feature of Sky Vegas is the games. Sky Vegas has hundreds of different slot games, covering an impressive range of titles from different game developers. NetEnt, IGT, WMS Gaming and Blueprint Gaming are amongst a handful of the top names contributing to the games lobby, and it’s a major bonus for Sky Vegas to offer so many different slots.

Look out for slots like Starburst, Keystone Kops, Dead or Alive, Rainbow Riches, Deal or No Deal, and the legendary Gonzo’s Quest – it’s games like these that see Sky Vegas at its best. You’ll also find a decent collection of slots with progressive jackpots, like Genie Jackpots and Franky’s Freak Spins. In total, there are some 312 games in all, of which 225 are slots – a decent selection, in anyone’s book.

One area where Sky Vegas comes up short is in table games. There’s a very small selection by comparison to the number of slots available, and if you’re coming to find an obscure version or blackjack or a special variation of roulette, you might be disappointed. Sky Vegas pitches primarily to slots and casino game fans, whereas sites like 888 Casino and Betway Casino offer a better selection of table games.

It would also be nice to see Sky Vegas adding some live games, which seem to be missing from the lineup. Compared to sites like 32Red or Betfair Casino, this is another area where the games at Sky Vegas could be improved. Still, the selection is impressive, and as far as slots are concerned, you couldn’t really ask for more.

From a software point of view, Sky Vegas is played in instant play browser made, with no download casino available. The website loads quickly, and the games render and play smoothly through any modern browser.

Mobile casino app

Mobile Casino

Sky Vegas is well suited to players who want to play on the go. Whether it’s on your smartphone or tablet, the Sky Vegas website is available through any mobile browser, offering a virtually identical experience to that you’d find on desktop. The design is entirely responsive, so it feels smooth and well designed, whatever the device you’re using. A slightly smaller selection of 173 slots games are available on the mobile browser version, though you can still find most of the big names slots crossing over.

There are also apps available, both for iOS and Android users, which can be downloaded directly from the respective app stores, and installed for free. The app presents a more straightforward, more immersive experience than mobile browser play, all in a stylish Sky Vegas veneer. Good graphics and easy usability make this the preferred choice for most Sky Vegas mobile customers.

Mobile play with Sky Vegas is fast, secure, and optimised for iOS and Android – or virtually any other device. It’s fair to say Sky Vegas have got mobile well covered.

Deposit and withdrawal

Deposit and Withdrawal

Sky Vegas supports a range of payment methods for deposits and withdrawals, including PayPal, alongside Visa, Maestro and Mastercard.

Customers can deposit anything from £5 – £50,000, and players are able to process funds back into the same account they deposited with.

The payment process has been made as secure as possible; a 3D Secure Card Authorisation system has been put in place to protect all transactions.

One significant advantage with Sky Vegas is that payments are processed within 24 hours, and paid to e-wallets within a further 24 hours – although in many cases, it’s much quicker than that. Sky Vegas has a reputation for fast payments, and even debit card withdrawals are handled in 2-5 days.

Security and trustworthiness

Security & Trustworthiness

Sky Vegas carries an instant trust in the eyes of most UK consumers, on account of the Sky brand – arguably one of the biggest in the country. Everyone in the UK has heard of Sky, will watch their TV channels, and very likely subscribe to their home entertainment services. There’s a level of familiarity and trust there, and this extends equally to Sky Vegas.

Sky Vegas, as with other Sky gambling brands, is operated by Bonne Terre Ltd., a company set up to run Sky betting and gaming sites. The company is part of a group of Sky betting brands, including Sky Bet and Sky Casino, so this is a rock-solid legitimate player.

In terms of the site itself, Sky Vegas is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, as well as the Alderney Gambling Control Commission for players located outside of the UK. The job of these regulators is to ensure Sky Vegas is operating a fair, legitimate online casino, and there is no question as to their compliance. As trusted casinos go, they can’t really get much bigger than Sky Vegas.

The Sky Vegas website and mobile apps are secured to the highest industry standards, using encryption technology that is designed to be impossible to hack. This is backed up by an additional encryption layer for payments, which are facilitated by third party processors like PayPal. Sky Vegas is really about as secure as you can expect from any online casino.

Customer support

Customer Support

The Sky brand has reputation for good customer support, and at Sky Vegas, the treatment is no different. There’s a comprehensive support section, where you can find answers to most common account issues and queries, as well as links to speak to someone, either by phone or by live chat.

The support is friendly and helpful, and generally gets the thumbs up. However, it has been known for there to be some capacity issues, and when we last checked, their phone lines were down due to a high volume of queries. This was also coupled with a long wait time on chat, which might be a problem for some players. Still, the customer support that is available should be more than enough for most players.

Sky Vegas has a huge selection of games, and slots fans will find plenty to keep them occupied. The bonuses are decent enough, and the combination of no deposit + deposit bonus as a welcome offer will definitely prove attractive to some new players. The mobile experience is good, and the payments side generally regarded as a high point.

The selection of table games suffers, but that’s not really the target market for Sky Vegas. In its place, however, generous ongoing promotions and competitions keep the excitement bubbling, week in, week out.

On balance, this earns Sky Vegas a rating of 9 out of 10. As a trusted place to play online, Sky Vegas must definitely be up there amongst the best.
